Only issue is if these start to expire next year that means they have been sitting somewhere for a few years. Have they been properly stored?

They expire today.

I'd rather go to costco and buy them for 26 cents each delivered and have dates good for another 7 years than pay 15 cents each plus shipping for questionable batteries that at their peak were no better than the costco/kirkland brand anyway.

The people who bought these probably paid a penny each, I know a guy who works the local flea market who buys expired batteries, he sold me a bunch of d's two years ago for under 10 cents each. I forget how much he said he paid, but it was roughly a penny each.

I'd spend double and stock lithium batteries. When they say they last 8x as long it's not BS, it's the truth. I ran my digital camera on vacation for almost 12 straight days on lithiums. Had I been recharging I would have had to recharge every single day. The power density is insane.

STOCK LITHIUMS.
STOCK LITHIUMS.
STOCK LITHIUMS.

BTW Their shelf life is double that of alkaline.

STOCK LITHIUMS.

$15 is nothing, why not take the risk? By all means buy your fancy, last forever lithium batteries -but $15 for 100 batteries? stock up, barter item for someone's wife's vibrator, even if they only last 10 minutes...
